The fire broke out as Kyiv was under an air raid alert issued at 8:48 a.m. The all-clear was given at 9:31 a.m. Klitschko later reported that Russian forces had also struck warehouse facilities in the same district. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in either strike. The attacks follow the Russian-launched strikes on Kyiv early Thursday, injuring at least one man and sparking fires in several districts, following a day of strikes that killed three people and wounded seven. In Solomianskyi district, a Russian attack set fire to a café on the ground floor of a 16-story residential building, with flames spreading to parked cars. The State Emergency Service said firefighters extinguished the blaze over about 80 square meters (861 square feet). A warehouse also caught fire in the northern Obolonskyi district, where debris fell in an open area. One man was injured and handed over to medics, emergency officials said.
