Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft relieved Celebrity Traitors win is out

Celebrity Traitors winners Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft said they are relieved they no longer have to keep their victory a secret. The comedian, 48, and the actor, 24, were crowned winners of the BBC reality show on Friday, securing victory for the faithfuls after banishing traitors Maya Jama and King Kenny.Ranganathan invited his fellow winner onto his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday to discuss the outcome of the nail-biting Celebrity Traitors finale. When asked how he feels about their victory, Croft said: “I’m so happy to be here with you. It’s so nice to talk about it.“I woke up with a light sense that I don’t have to keep the secret anymore. It’s been killing me.”Ranganathan agreed that the pair had been “worried”, while Croft recalled feeling paranoid about being seen together in public. The Heartstopper actor said: “We met for dinner in central London.“We were having dinner and we’re not exactly a likely duo – and the whole restaurant was like, ‘we like you on Traitors and hope you win’.“We were like, ‘thanks.’”Sebastian Croft said it has been ‘killing me’ to keep his Celebrity Traitors victory a secret (Paul Chappells/ Studio Lambert/BBC)PA Media“Don’t draw any conclusions from this dinner – this is just random,” Ranganathan joked.Croft also reflected on how it felt to make it to the final alongside traitor Kenny and faithfuls Ranganathan, James Blunt and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.“I couldn’t believe that we’d got there. It was just wild,” he said.Ranganathan said: “I’m delighted to win.“But it’s taken the gloss off it slightly that everybody’s saying, ‘you better thank (Croft) every day for the rest of your life.'”Ranganathan has previously spoken about his “level of contribution to the game”, as he believes he struggled with guessing who the traitors were and knowing who to trust.During the final, he wrongly accused Blunt of being a traitor at the firepit, causing the You’re Beautiful singer to vote to banish again, which led to Ranganathan and Croft voting him out.Reassuring his fellow winner, Croft said he thought Ranganathan had played the game in a “lovely” way.He added: “People are seeing how smart you are and how you’re actually so on it – and you’re such a good judge of character.Read More“I really think you played a great game.”
