As the 20-year-old seeks professional help to navigate a challenging year, including an arrest for assault in May and the death of her friend Victoria Zardoya in July, the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum is publicly supporting her. "Milania is a good girl. She has a big heart, she loves deeply and she cares enormously about the people in her life," Joe told Page Six in an interview published Sept. 24. "She is also young and going through a very difficult period right now." And after sharing his own empathy for his second-born's recent challenges, Joe implored the public to refrain from judgment, adding, "I know that what people may see from the outside does not tell the whole story of what someone is experiencing privately." The native Italian's words come after Milania reportedly posted a video Sept. 23 of a seemingly tense exchange with mom Teresa Giudice while at the airport with sister Gia Giudice. In the since-deleted Instagram Story, the "Can't Wait to Grow Up" singer could be heard repeatedly saying "This is what we do now," while Teresa replied, "I love you," according to footage obtained by TMZ.As such, Joe—who relocated to the Bahamas to remain close to his four daughters after being deported in 2019—emphasized his belief in Milania's character. As he said, "There have been difficult moments, but those moments do not define who Milania is as a person.” "Losing someone you love is incredibly painful, and grief does not have a timeline," the 54-year-old continued, referring to Milania's mental health after Victoria's accidental death at Florida's Fort Dade ruins. News, Milania enrolled in anger management courses, her attorney Alan Kraminsky said in court. Following the airport incident, her manager Maria DeSantis told E! News the reality star is now undergoing treatment. "She is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family," the rep told E! News in a Sept. 24 statement. "Our focus right now is simply on her health, healing and well-being. In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together."
