Revenue Minister Satya Prasad wonders if JAC leader Venkateswarlu is pursuing a political agenda

Revenue Services Association president, with provoking employees and damaging the relationship between the government and its workforce.“Is Mr. Venkateswarlu focusing on resolving employees’ problems or pursuing a political agenda?” the Revenue Minister questioned.The JAC leader was portraying the dues inherited from the previous YSRCP government as liabilities created by the NDA dispensation, while ignoring the funds released during the last two years, Mr. Satya Prasad said in a press release.“The government is holding discussions with Mr. Venkateswarlu and other employee unions, and is fully committed to resolving the issues despite financial constraints,” the Revenue Minister said, adding that a majority of the bills kept pending by the previous government had been cleared, and the remaining would be cleared in phases.Mr. Satya Prasad said the government had extended the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to 11,000 CPS employees and restored the contributions allegedly diverted by the previous government. Pending bills of retired employees had also been fully cleared, the Minister asserted.Objecting to the manner in which the JAC leader conducted a meeting recently, the Minister said, “While there is no objection to staging protests or questioning the government, humiliating the Chief Minister will not be tolerated.” Published - August 29, 2026 08:12 pm IST
