Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive Is Officially Available Now

Published Oct 2, 2026, 9:00 PM EDT Ewan is Deputy Editor for ScreenRant's gaming section. He still quite hasn’t gotten out of his mid 00’s emo phase, and knows more about The Legend of Zelda and Doctor Who than is probably healthy. Ewan oversees the content operation of ScreenRant's gaming output, working with a talented team of writers and editors to cover everything from the latest GTA 6 news to the indie games you need on your radar. Former Editor of GAMINGbible, Ewan also has words at Kotaku, Den of Geek, NME, and UNILAD. He's appeared on various podcasts, including VGC's and BBC's Let's Talk About Tech. Sign in to your ScreenRant account February feels like it was years ago, but Resident Evil Requiem did indeed come out earlier this year and, in my humble opinion, is a genuine Game of the Year contender. Featuring the arrival of brand-new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, the game manages to blend full-on survival horror with over-the-top action thanks to the return of series mainstay Leon Kennedy. It's a banger of a game, honestly. While Resident Evil Requiem's story may have ended with . . . well, I'm not going to completely spoil it here, but suffice to say it left the door open for Resident Evil 10. Because obviously, this story will never truly be over. Anyway, while we patiently wait for the next mainline Resident Evil entry, fans can look forward to Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive. Unfortunately, this isn't DLC from Capcom, but an official live-action event taking place at Universal Studios Japan. Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive is a described as an "R-15 attraction where every step deepens the dread." "The hit game Resident Evil Requiem comes to life, and the creatures that stalked you in the game are now closing in on you," the official event description reads. "They come from above, from below, from every direction, unpredictable and impossible to evade. Step in and scream until your voice gives out in this nightmare like no other." The event aims to recreate the world of Resident Evil Requiem offering up the decrepit Wrenwood Hotel in an interactive horror experience where your only job is to survive. Well, that and hopefully not embarrass yourself by screaming/crying/throwing up in the middle of the attraction. It happens. "Raccoon City is off-limits," the official site continues. "On its outskirts stands The Wrenwood Hotel, abandoned and forgotten. When a series of unexplained deaths drew the FBI's attention, intelligence analyst Grace went in to investigate. She never came back. Now you've come looking for her. One step inside and the world around you changes. Walls peel and crumble. The hallways hold what's left of those who came before. And without warning, creatures unlike anything you've ever seen come closing in. Find your courage. Face the horror and make it out alive." If you're at all keen on this Resident Evil Requiem horror experience, eTickets are now available to purchase on the official Universal Studios Japan site. The event runs until 27 December 2026, but I'd imagine going in October at the height of Halloween season would be the best time to experience it.
