A relationship coach has sparked a debate as she shared the three vital questions that she believes everyone should ask during a first date to determine if their potential suitor is a good match.Sabrina Zohar, 36, frequently shares advice for those seeking love – as well as those already coupled up – to her 1.8 million TikTok followers. Recently, the California-based love specialist revealed the things you should inquire about when meeting a new love interest for the first time to help you figure out if they're the one for you. While most people tend to ask about the basics, like career aspirations or favorite hobbies, Zohar explained in the now-viral clip that there are more important topics to discuss on a first date.'Here are three first date questions I want you to ask no matter what,' she began in the video. 'And if you're scared to ask these questions I need you to [think about] your emotional availability and [ask yourself] if you're actually ready for a healthy and secure relationship.'The first question she recommended was: Who is the person that you call when everything is either going right or wrong?'This is to see how emotionally available this person is. If they answer and say, "Honestly, no one," or, "I just deal with it myself," then that might make you say, "Maybe this person isn't comfortable expressing their emotions or doesn't feel safe in order to do so with the people in their surroundings,"' she explained. That's too vague,' she dished. She then listed a few better answers, like, 'I'm working on not shutting down when things get really tough for me because in the past, I've historically run away but now I really wanna face it head on,' or, 'I'm working on not being as reactive, I used to pop off with people, now I'm giving myself the space to take a minute, process, then be able to respond.''You'll be able to see how much work this person has actually done based on how they answer,' she added.Last but not least, Zohar said the third question you should ask during a date is: What is a belief that you've outgrown in the last few years? She explained that the inquiry will give you insight into your partner's ability to self-reflect. 'A person who is emotionally available can name something they've outgrown,' she pointed out. 'Versus a shallow answer will be like, "I like cilantro that I used to not like."'Zohar's advice divided viewers, as some praised her tips and others claimed the questions were a little too much to ask on a first date. But too heavy for a first date,' one user commented.'Agreed, these are good third/fourth date questions,' replied another. 'Deep convos are important but let's just have a good time [on the first date] unless these come up naturally,' someone else wrote. 'I used to think this but time is too precious and exhaustion is real. I don't wanna go out with someone and just have a fluffy conversation,' a different person chimed in.'I want to go out with someone and see if there's an actual connection and these questions will let you know if there is an actual connection or potential.''[I like these], that way you can weed out people who are unavailable emotionally early on,' read a fifth comment.A sixth said: 'Very good questions.'
