Mandatory Credit: Perry Nelson-Imagn Images Michal Postava made 25 saves and also stopped all three shootout tries and Dylan Larkin scored a 6-on-5 goal with 1:17 remaining to force overtime as the visiting Detroit Red Wings rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night. The 24-year-old Postava, making his first career NHL start, stopped shootout tries by Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins while Lucas Raymond roofed a wrist shot in the first round for what proved to be the game-winner. Viktor Arvidsson scored a goal and had an assist, Raymond had two assists and Emmitt Finnie also scored a goal for Detroit, which finished its four-game road trip with a 2-1-1 mark. Colton Dach had a goal and an assist and Vasily Podkolzin and Isaac Howard also scored goals for Edmonton, which moved one point ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights into first place in the Pacific Division. Tristan Jarry finished with 26 saves. Edmonton, coming in off a 7-2 loss to Toronto on Saturday, jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 6:10 mark of the first period on Podkolzin's eighth goal. Draisaitl picked up the primary assist when he threw the puck from edge of the right circle in front of the net where the puck caromed in off Podkolzin's skate into the net. Detroit tied it, 1-1, midway through the second period on a power-play goal by Arvidsson, who blasted a sharp-angled one-timer from the bottom of the right circle past Jarry's blocker side for his fifth goal. The Oilers regained the lead, 2-1, at the 4:18 mark of the third period on a power-play goal by Howard, who one-timed a shot off a Kasperi Kapanen pass over the glove of a diving Postava. The Red Wings tied it just 30 seconds later when Arvidsson stole the puck along the end boards and then passed it into the low slot where Finnie tapped a shot inside the left post for his fifth goal. Dach put Edmonton back in front, 3-2, with 3:28 remaining when he redirected Ryan Shea's shot from the left point for his first goal. Detroit pulled Postava for an extra attacker with three minutes to go and Larkin tied it with 1:17 left when he scooped in a wrist shot from the low slot for his second goal. --Field Level Media
