Given how Reacher has consistently performed well on Prime Video with each new season, it is hard not to believe that it will only get better in its upcoming seasons. Meanwhile, the Neagley spin-off, too, has just gotten started and is already among Prime Video's best TV offerings. While the Reacher franchise continues its streaming dominance, only a few shows come even remotely close to matching its commercial and critical success. One of these shows is far from being a serious crime thriller. Yet, like Jack Reacher and Frances Neagley, it also centers on a beloved fictional American hero. The show, Ted Lasso, is one of Apple TV's biggest hits. Just like Reacher, Ted Lasso, too, has consistently delivered one hit season after another, with each new installment earning high acclaim from viewers and critics. Even in terms of viewership numbers, Apple TV's Ted Lasso is among the few shows that can actually compete with Reacher and Neagley. Only Ted Lasso Can Compete With Reacher & Neagley's Streaming Dominance Colin Hutton/©Apple TV/Courtesy Everett Collection As reports reveal (via Variety), Prime Video's Reacher has shown no signs of slowing down with its recent installment. By the end of September, the series rose in the ranks to become the Number 1 original series on streaming. It garnered a whopping 4.6 billion viewing minutes, proving it is easily Prime Video's most valuable small-screen IP right now. Neagley's run, too, was no less impressive. Premiering right after Reacher season 4's finale, Neagley season 1 took third place in the viewership ranking. Neagley tied with Taylor Sheridan's Lioness, which released its third season on August 2, 2026. Surprisingly, only one show managed to beat Neagley and come close to matching Reacher's success in September. That one show is Apple TV's Ted Lasso, which earned 3.6 billion minutes of viewing after its season 4 premiered on August 5, 2026. Although Reacher still seems to have a massive lead, it is impressive how Ted Lasso is right behind it despite returning after so many years. Reacher benefits a lot from its consistent release schedule, suggesting that Ted Lasso could become equally successful if it churns out new seasons with smaller gaps between installments. Ted Lasso's Streaming Success Justifies Bringing Back The Show Colin Hutton/Apple TV Ted Lasso season 4 leaves a lot of room for a potential follow-up focusing on the AFC Women's Richmond team. However, as of now, Apple TV has not confirmed Ted Lasso's return for another season. Considering the show's streaming success, however, the original Apple TV series seems to have no reason to slow down. The show's season 4 boasts a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%. This proves that, even from a critical standpoint, Ted Lasso is as acclaimed and loved as ever. Even the series' season 4 is not conclusive and has already paved the way for more stories to be told. The fact that the Apple TV series is competing with some of the biggest streaming hits, like Neagley, Reacher, and Lioness, despite having a slower output proves it deserves to stay even longer. Hopefully, Apple TV will soon renew Ted Lasso for another season, which will help the show have a better release schedule and a more promising streaming momentum.
