Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ranbir Kapoor as Rama.Soon after the first trailer of the movie dropped two months ago, the makers of Ramayana received backlash for “inconsistent VFX”. Fans felt the movie is over-reliant on green and blue screens and questioned the “tacky CGI.”Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru during the movie’s promotional event on Thursday (October 15, 2026), Yash said fans shouldn’t judge the ambitious project yet. “I saw several comments on social media about the movie’s VFX. It is this mentality of ours that the British exploited. They deployed the divide-and-rule governance method looking at our internal wars,” he said.“We will never be able to challenge the world with this kind of attitude,” Yash said further. “Kindly try to understand the nuances of the craft and appreciate it. If a film team’s intent is right, please do support it.”The makers released a second trailer on the Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel. Sony Pictures is serving as the global distributor for the Ramayana franchise. The fresh trailer got a better response from fans, who observed the “improved VFX”. “Ramayana is our attempt to let the world know about our culture and history. Let’s spread love everywhere and stop hatred,” said Yash.ALSO READ: ‘Toxic’: Will Yash gamble again?Namit’s visual effects studio DNEG is handling the VFX for Ramayana.
