Prince William and Kate Middleton just visited the Isle of Bute in Scotland for one of their many royal engagements and went on a quick “walkabout,” which involved them saying hello to people, shaking hands, and taking pictures.And while Kate was happy to stay and chat, William seemed to be in a rush. The future king of England was filmed coming up to his wife mid-conversation, and semi-jokingly pointing to his watch as he said “You’ve got to speed up, you’ve got to get all the way down there before you go.”Kate then proceeded to pretty much ignore him and continue to engage with people further down the line, as Wills somewhat awkwardly stood behind her smiling.The moment comes amid a lot of drama for the royal family: not only were William and Kate allegedly “blindsided” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving back to England a few weeks ago, William’s uncle Earl Spencer is releasing a book about his late sister, Princess Diana—and apparently Harry got a heads-up and William didn’t.“There was no courtesy copy, no discreet heads-up, nothing,” a source tells Rob Shuter. “The King and William were left to discover some of the most damaging allegations essentially alongside the public.
