With Reacher season 4 and Neagley season 1 in the books, it's safe to say 2026 has been a strong year for the Prime Video action franchise, and the future looks bright. Season 5 has officially been confirmed and will follow Lee Child's Make Me novel, while the show has also been renewed for season 6 as well. As a result, Jack Reacher isn't going anywhere, but while we know he'll be back in the near future, we'll have to wait to see one of the most popular book characters. Even if Reacher season 5 doesn't follow the book that it's based on 100% faithfully, it will almost certainly still feature Make Me's characters, conflict, and general story beats. This is exciting since it's easily one of the darkest Jack Reacher novels out there, but it also means we won't see Jodie Garber for at least another season. Although Jodie only appears in a handful of books, she certainly made a lasting impact on readers as well as the protagonist himself, making her Prime Video debut highly anticipated. The attorney helped aid Reacher's investigation in Tripwire and also plays a significant role in Running Blind, giving her multiple opportunities to appear in the future. However, season 5's storyline ensures we'll have to wait, despite the fact that Jodie's debut has already been quietly teased. Considering that Make Me shares plenty of similarities with Reacher season 4's plot, there is an argument that season 5 would've been better off adapting one of the books featuring Jodie. Sadly, it'll be season 6 at the earliest before we see this fan favorite arrive. Jodie Garber Is Arguably Reacher's Best Love Interest Prime Video Jodie Garber and Reacher's love story is certainly controversial to say the least, but ignoring their introduction, it is easily one of the best romances in the novel. Jack Reacher first met Jodie when he was in his 20s, and she was still a teenager, but despite the latter having a crush on the protagonist, nothing ever happened. By the time they reunited, both were adults, with Jodie being in her 30s and divorced. The two crossed paths at the funeral of Jodie's father, Leon, who happened to be Reacher's commanding officer during his military days. Leon was an influential figure in his life, making it no surprise Reacher had a true connection with his daughter. Rather than following the typical routine of Reacher meeting a girl during a mission, having a brief romance, before never seeing them again, his relationship with Jodie felt much more natural. The two did technically begin their connection due to one of Reacher's cases, but there were clearly deeper sparks than usual. Jodie Garber is also mentioned or referenced in Jack Reacher novels that she doesn't physically appear in: The Affair, Echo Burning, The Enemy, and Nothing to Lose. The fact that the two actually stayed together beyond a single book is evidence that they really had something special, and although Jodie hasn't appeared in a long time, very few love interests have matched her level of impact since. Understandably, Prime Video may want to ensure they do her character and this relationship justice when she is finally introduced, hence the wait. With Lila exposing Reacher's biggest weakness when it comes to women in season 4, it seems fitting to give him a more steady partner that he can trust in future seasons. Therefore, the TV show could once again make Jodie the titular character's best love interest, especially if it abandons their messy history. Reacher Already Set Up Jodie Garber Despite Jodie featuring in Lee Child's earlier novels, there's still hope she can appear in the Prime Video series, especially since Reacher has already set up her debut. Season 3 gave us quite an insight into Reacher's background, with several flashback scenes focusing on his protégé, Dominque Kohl, who was brutally murdered. While these sequences highlighted what Reacher was like as a mentor alongside the relationship he had with his comrades, one episode also featured his own commanding officer, Leon Garber. Jodie's father played a minor role overall, but his presence is proof that Jodie does exist in the Prime Video universe and will inevitably appear at some point. Although season 3 only touched briefly on Reacher's relationship with Leon, there was a healthy respect between the two, with the protagonist serving his senior officer loyally. A lot of the main character's traits and philosophies were also learned under Garber, making him a key part of Reacher's life. As a result, it's hard to picture the action series using him in the adaptation of Persuader — a novel Leon isn't even in — if there were no plans to include Jodie. Now, the audience has a taste of how important Leon Garber is, instantly giving them a reason to care about Jodie when she eventually makes her first appearance. So, assuming Reacher season 6 adapts one of the books Jodie is in, we could see the return of Leon Garber in some capacity to set up this romance, and with her father already introduced, hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see Jodie in Prime Video's Reacher.
