Primark urgently recalls fashion accessory over ‘serious chemical risk’ that can damage your fertility

PRIMARK has urgently recalled a popular fashion accessory after it was found to pose a serious chemical risk. Owners of the item have been told to stop using the product immediately and to keep it out of the reach of children. The product was deemed unsafe after testing revealed that levels of phthalates, synthetic chemicals used to make plastics flexible, were above regulatory limits. The chemical can also cause possible damage to the reproductive system if found in excess quantities. As a result, the faux leather coin purse was found not to meet safety requirements and has since been recalled by Primark. The fashion retailer has further specified that the product was only sold in Primark stores between March and June this year. Owners of the purse have been urged to stop using it immediately and to keep it out of the reach of children. Customers can then return the product to any Primark store where a full refund will be given, with no receipt or proof of purchase required.
