Premier Inn confirms new 187-bedroom hotel in famed English seaside resort – and it’s in an old nightclub

PREMIER Inn has confirmed it is opening a new 187-bedroom hotel in a popular seaside resort. The UK’s largest hotel chain has transformed the site of a former nightclub complex in the city centre. The new hotel, which will trade as Premier Inn Brighton City Centre (Seafront), will feature the chain’s latest bedroom designs. In addition to enhanced Premier Plus rooms, guests can enjoy a ground-floor restaurant. The six-storey development will also include a reception area and landscaped roof areas. Once opened, the new hotel will be the second Premier Inn in Brighton. Simon Lancaster, Whitbread’s head of construction for London and the South, told The Argus: “It is always a proud moment topping out a new Premier Inn hotel, and it is especially significant at a location as prominent as West Street in Brighton. “Completing the frame brings us another step closer to delivering a flagship new Premier Inn for the city, and I would like to thank everyone involved for their dedication, expertise and hard work in reaching this stage.” Most read in Travel The development forms part of Whitbread’s strategy to expand Premier Inn hotels in high-demand city-centre locations.
