From performing in Little Mix and as a solo star, Leigh-Anne Pinnock has become a big celebrity with fans all over the world. But now she’s going back to where it all started by appearing on BBC series, Who Do You Think You Are?. Leigh-Anne Pinnock is set to explore her family roots on BBC series Who Do You Think You Are? Credit: Getty Leigh-Anne, who’s pregnant with her third child, will trace her family history in the UK before heading to Jamaica Credit: Splash The genealogy show will follow the singer, who is six months pregnant with her third child, as she explores her family history in the UK before flying over to Jamaica. My TV insider said: “Leigh-Anne has already filmed the majority of her episode and to say it has been emotional would be an understatement. Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! “She has learned so much about her heritage and the hard lives her ancestors had. “It was really eye-opening for her. Especially now that she is a mother, it really hit home how different the life she leads is, and how lucky she is.” Leigh-Anne was born in High Wycombe, Bucks, but both of her grandfathers emigrated to the UK from the Caribbean in the Sixties as part of the Windrush generation. Her father John’s dad came from Jamaica, while mum Deborah has ancestry in Barbados. Leigh-Anne has visited Jamaica regularly since she was three years old, describing it as her “second home”. The singer even chose it as the location for her wedding to footballer Andre Gray in 2023. Most read in Showbiz In her memoir Believe, which was published the same year, she said: “It always feels like home from the moment my foot hits the earth.” Who Do You Think You Are? is not the only telly appearance that Leigh-Anne will be making in the coming months. At the beginning of the summer, she spent time locked up in Scotland’s Ardross Castle filming the second series of BBC One’s The Celebrity Traitors. Set to air this autumn, it will see her face off against other stars including Love Island host Maya Jama, comedian Miranda Hart and EastEnders hardman Ross Kemp. Along with her pregnancy, live shows and filming, Leigh-Anne has recently been back in the studio working on some new music after her debut album My Ego Told Me To went to No3 in March. And somehow, I doubt that she will get much time to relax when her third baby arrives. Choo love for Selena ’n’ Ben Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have splashed out £20,000 on a romantic Orient Express trip Credit: Getty SELENA Gomez and Benny Blanco are celebrating their first wedding anniversary in style, after splashing out over £20,000 to ride the Orient Express from London to Venice. The American lovebirds were all smiles as they strolled hand in hand from the train station to catch a water taxi. Selena and music producer Benny are starting their celebrations early, as their official anniversary is not until September 27 – but doubless have more fun planned. Selena looked quite the global hitmaker as she stepped out in all brown, hair slicked back, while Benny cut a dash in blue – but looked like he could do with taking a comb to that unruly hair. Speaking in the October issue of Elle UK, on sale from Thursday, the singer said: “When you’re a celebrity, you sometimes get lost in it. “You think that’s the real world, but it’s not. “Because I was able to watch the industry from afar – very far, from the bottom of Africa – I saw it as this untouchable realm. “Now that I’m in it, I know the difference. I know what’s real and I know what’s not. Tyla – who posed in a leather coat for the mag – added: “I think that’s why I’m able to be more playful about it now and not take it as seriously. Because it isn’t that serious. “There are way more serious things happening in the world, you know.” Finally, a celebrity talking some sense. Ali G is back on track Sacha Baron Cohen is bringing Ali G back for a new film and music video Credit: Getty – Contributor SACHA Baron Cohen has another treat up his sleeves for fans of his Staines born rapper Ali G. The new film, Who Iz I?, is just two months away from being released and we’re told Sacha is slipping into character next week to film a music video for a new single, which will be released to accompany the film. A source said: “Ali G is back and he’s more outrageous than ever. “Sacha is really leaning into this and wanted to bring out new music with Ali. “The song is done and he is filming a new video for it next week.” Ali’s most popular release, Me Julie, featuring Shaggy peaked at No2 in the charts when it was released in 2002. But our music moles told us that the Jamaican rapper won’t be returning on this track with Shaggy commenting, “It wasn’t me,” when we asked him about the latest song. Last month Ali G fans got a first glimpse of him back in action when he snuck into Centre Court at Wimbledon during the men’s finals. Sacha headed into the court, where the Prince and Princess of Wales watched Jannik Sinner beat Alexander Zverev, in normal clothes before slipping into his Ali G costume. He then unleashed his persona on social media, launching a new Instagram account and sharing pictures of himself pretending to sell drugs to other Wimbledon fans at the game. Ali also handed out fake bags of cannabis and posted on social media: “Them say that tennis is better played on grass, which is why I intend to sell as much of it while I is ere.” As he left the match, Sacha kept in character and said of the royals being in the stands: “Prince Harry owes me £1,400. “I used to be his dealer at Eton. I was here to get the cash back, innit.” That’s some trip, Ariana Ariana Grande saved tickets to her final UK gig for staff at her favourite London pub Credit: Getty ARIANA Grande returns to the stage at London’s O2 Arena tomorrow night for what will be her final performance on UK soil for years to come. And while her ten-date residency sold out in seconds, I’m told the singer held back tickets for staff in her fave London boozer, The Holly Bush. Ariana was a regular at the Hampstead pub during her time shooting film Wicked in the capital. A source said: “Ariana wanted to thank the staff at the pub for being so kind. “She quietly held tickets for the managers and staff at the pub so they could come and watch her perform on the tour.” The Holly Bush has now become a mecca for Ariana’s fans. But if you’re popping in for a pint, brace yourself, because it’s not cheap – with a lager at £7.50 a pop. DOLLY Parton was going to lay down vocals for Bad Wolves’ cover of Jolene prior to her death. Now, with her management’s permission, the heavy metal group have released their version – with all proceeds going to her Imagination Library. Dolly’s manager Danny Nozell said: Dolly was a champion of artists pushing musical boundaries. “She listened to the Bad Wolves arrangement of Jolene and was excited to collaborate on it. “ Releasing as a tribute…is exactly what Dolly and her team wanted.” Maisie’s having a bad spell Maisie Williams has revealed she paid a witch to cast a spell to land her a movie role Credit: Getty SOMEONE needs to call the police, Maisie Williams has been fleeced. The Game Of Thrones actress has revealed she found a witch and asked her to cast a spell to land her a job. And, unsurprisingly, the magic was totally duff. Maisie said: “I paid a witch to help me manifest a role in a movie and she told me some things that I had to say every night. “I said them every night . . . And it didn’t happen.” Then discussing her superstitions, she added: “I don’t like to walk over three consecutive drains. “Even if I end up walking into oncoming traffic, I just have to avoid it.” You say that now, Maisie. But when you’re flattened by the No10 bus, it’s going to be a whole different kettle of fish. The event, put on by Blur rocker Alex James, saw the actor playing for 90 minutes to a star-struck crowd. The Shaun of The Dead star was later spotted chomping on a huge burger. I’m sure he would have had a Cornetto for pud . . . BECKY Hill’s weekend set at Creamfields went down a storm, quite literally. The What Do I Have To Do? singer was caught up in the thunder and lightning that struck the site in Cheshire on Sunday – and soaked her dressing room. An onlooker said: “Becky’s costumes were in a flight box outside her area and the lid had been left open. The heavens opened and everything was getting sodden. “Luckily someone rushed over and slammed it shut as her outfits would have been ruined. “Her team got everything inside and dried before Becky went on.” Comment now
