Police have found a body in Lake Rotokākahi, near Rotorua.Officers found the body at about 8am while investigating a homicide in Pahiatua, which occurred in October 2025.The body is yet to be formally identified, but police believe it's a person of interest related to the homicide investigation.There is no threat to the public, Detective Senior Sergeant David Thompson said.There would be an increased police presence in the area while investigations continue, he said.
