Police arrest two suspected of attacking man who lost his daughter on Oct. 7 in Acre's Old City

SEPTEMBER 4, 2026 06:38Updated: SEPTEMBER 4, 2026 07:05Two residents of Acre's Old City in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of attacking a bereaved father whose daughter was killed at the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, Israel Police said on Thursday.The attack took place last week in the old city, while the victim had been out walking his dog.During the walk, they encountered the suspects’ dog, and a fight broke out between the two dogs.According to the police’s investigation, the suspects had approached the incident and, claiming their dog had been purposefully attacked, “violently” attacked and injured the man.Illustration image of handcuffs on the hands of an arrested man, in Jerusalem, May 21, 2025.
