Sign in to your ScreenRant account It may have first launched back in 2022 as the first installment in the ninth generation of Pokémon, but Pokémon Scarlet & Violet still maintains a dedicated player base thanks to its regular post-game content updates. Featuring an open-world, the first for the franchise, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet also launched alongside 120 brand-new Pokémon, as well as two regional forms and time-displaced creatures known as Paradox Pokémon. However, it was the addition of the Terastal phenomenon that has been the subject of many post-game updates, with the mechanic allowing some Pokémon to transform into its exclusive "Tera Type", a special attribute which sees your 'mon's Type shift during battle. As such, Game Freak has regularly introduced Tera Raids, one-shot battles that allow Pokémon Scarlet & Violet to team up and take down powerful Pokémon in exchange for limited and powerful rewards. That is what is taking place right now. Running from 11 September to September 17th at 23:59 UTC, a new Tera Raid is live: the Mighty Skeledirge. In the 7-star Tera Raid Battle, players can take down the Skeledirge with the Fire Tera Type, just as long as they have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News in order to participate. Just remember that this Pokémon can only be taken down once per save file, so you cannot farm those appealing rewards. However, if you have already attempted the Mighty Skeledirge Tera Raid and are having issues trying to take them down, fellow players over on r/PokemonScarletViolet have shared some invaluable tips, with one user's comment reading: "If you want to run a support, consider Malamar. Skeledirge's biggest threat in the long term is its ability to run unscripted Torch Song. In theory, its Special Attack can be maxed out as long as it does six Torch Songs by the end of turn 2 (in which it makes 8 moves). "So you can then Skill Swap in your contrary to start, nullifying the threat of Torch Song. You can mix in Light Screen and Swagger, because Skeledirge does have both physical and special moves. You could also consider something (typically) like Superpower and Tera Blast, potentially at the expense of maybe Swagger." Another said, "Skeledirge? I thought GF wasn't going to rerun starters, but, anything with Unaware will do." With all of the details surrounding the Mighty Skeledirge Tera Raid found here, you are more than ready to tackle the latest boss fight in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Just make sure that you have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News and completed all of the main game's content in order to participate.
