Sign in to your ScreenRant account The beloved, sneaky, and ever-changing Pokémon character Ditto is surprising us all with an all-new transformation as part of the ongoing 30th anniversary celebration of the franchise. While Ditto has already taken on countless forms over the years, including as a human trainer in the recent cozy sensation Pokémon Pokopia, a new version is always exciting. Especially when it's an equally adorable one. 2026 has been a big year for Pokémon, with the celebration of the 30th anniversary through events, games, products, and a special Pokémon Trading Card Game set. Plus, not only did Ditto's heartwarming video game Pokémon Pokopia come out this year, but the game has already seen several events and DLC added to the experience. So, it's easy to see why this little purple shape-shifter got chosen to receive special treatment in a new TCG product for the anniversary. The Pokémon TCG just released a new special bundle called the "Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection." Although a mouthful of a title, this beautiful boxed collection will be a collector's dream. Released on November 6, it includes: 1 promo card featuring Ditto in an all-new form 1 acrylic card display 8 Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration booster packs 1 code card for Pokémon TCG Live The boxed collection is available on the official Pokémon Center website as well as anywhere Pokémon TCG products are sold, so check your friendly local game store for availability. As Ditto is known to be able to transform into any Pokémon, and in fact does transform into several and takes on their abilities in Pokémon Pokopia, seeing a new form shouldn't be a surprise. Yet, that doesn't take away from the joy we feel in seeing the adorable new promo card featuring Ditto as Cherubi. This promo card shows several traditional Ditto Pokémon surrounding a log where what first looks like two Cherubi Pokémon are sitting. Upon closer inspection, you can see that the surprised look on the Cherubi to the right is actually because it is looking at a happy Ditto version of itself sitting next to it. The typical wide smile of the Ditto face is the only difference between the two. We certainly don't blame Cherubi's look of astonishment, as the cherry-like Pokémon clearly had never seen Ditto become its doppelganger before this, and in many ways it must feel like looking in a funhouse mirror. This new Cherubi form for Ditto will likely eventually have plush forms available, as the Pokémon Center online store already features numerous varieties of Ditto transformations as plush toys. However, we also can't help but wonder if this could be a hint to something coming in one of the Pokémon Pokopia DLC updates. Perhaps Ditto will be able to take on Cherubi's form in the game for some special ability in the third DLC pack's new area, or even for cosmetic reasons in the second DLC that is coming soon. None of that has been revealed and is only speculation on our part, but it would be a fun addition to the game. Although it's also hard to see what a Cherubi ability would give the Pokopia Ditto in order to make it worthwhile. Either way, it's exciting to see a new form of Ditto, and with Cherubi being a favorite for many fans of Pokémon in general, this could end up being a highly coveted promo card.
