Sign in to your ScreenRant account First released back in 2010 and introducing 156 brand-new Pokémon to the franchise, Pokémon Black & White launched for the Nintendo DS to mark the first installments in the fifth generation of the Pokémon video game series. Whilst its sequel, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 followed in 2012, it is the original launch that is remembered fondly, with the two games following a young Pokémon Trainer as they journey across the region of Unova in order to train Pokémon to compete against other Trainers and put a stop to the criminal organization known as Team Plasma. Despite some of the new 'mon designs being considered to be unimaginative by some players, Pokémon Black & White still met commercial success, and swiftly became bestsellers for the Nintendo DS. Now, over 15 years later, the Pokémon games are back in the spotlight in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise as a whole. As part of ongoing celebrations for the Pokémon franchise, which was created for the first time back in 1996, Pokémon Black & White is back with a stunning collection on the Pokémon Center website. The collection includes pins, game cards, magnets, and T-shirts, so let us take a look at some of the merchandise in more detail. The T-shirts come in both a black and white version, and are both unisex with medium and large sizes. Although both shirts are black, they feature two different designs. According to the official item description: "The Pokémon series' past game titles are now available as a T-shirt-in-pouch! The T-shirt features Pokémon and the logo on the front, and a Nintendo DS icon on the cuff. The back is printed with a list of all the Pokémon series games released to date! Each game's name is printed in a font inspired by the game itself, with a different color for the corresponding game. The pouch is designed to look just like the packaging of Pokémon White, and features a Nintendo DS-shaped rubber pull tab as a design accent!" However, a collectible that is truly impressive is the pin collection that features designs from 1996 to 2025. As such, you are guaranteed to find some of your favorite 'mon make an appearance. "The Pokémon and logos are bordered with sparkling accents, giving them a glossy finish. This framed set includes pins in release order, from Pokémon Red and Green (released in 1996) to Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A (released in 2025). The release year is designed in a font inspired by each game title! They can be displayed standing or hung on a wall." However, as the most expensive item, you can also settle for a smaller pin collection, or even some magnets, also featuring similar designs. It may not be an official Pokémon Black & White remake, but it is definitely the next best way to celebrate 30 years of the beloved Nintendo franchise. So, make sure to secure your collectibles now.
