PlayStation Plus gamers can officially get their hands on two bonus free games for November 2026, making this month one of the best the online service has had in quite some time. The PlayStation Plus Essential free games for November 2026 were officially announced last week, and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, Monster Train 2, and Dead Island 2 are all available now. The PlayStation Plus Essential lineup is definitely a huge step-up from the not-so-great October offering. Tomb Raider is three brilliiant games in one, for a start. Then there's Monster Train 2, which is one of the most moreish games I've ever played. Finally, Dead Island 2 is a wonderful open-world zombie RPG that lets you slice and dice with plenty of gore. However, there's even more for subscribers to get stuck into, although it's not really being shouted about. Metro Redux was fairly recently added to the PS Plus Premium Classics library. This is a two-game compilation that contains the remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. While these games were added back in August, the big new surprise is that publisher Deep Silver has unleashed a substantial PS5 upgrade for the collection, introducing native PS5 and PS5 Pro support, true 4K resolution at 60 FPS, upscaled 4K at 120 FPS with PSSR support, high-res textures, Dual Sense adaptive triggers and more improvements. Metro Redux was already a 10/10 collection containing two genuinely brilliant games, but with this free upgrade, they're more essential than ever. If you've never played the Metro games before, I can promise you're in for a treat. "In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland," reads the official description for Metro 2033 Redux. "A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033." While comparisons can definitely be drawn to the Fallout series as far as the post-apocalyptic setting goes, the Metro series is altogether much darker, and places a much greater emphasis on story. Still, if you enjoy the Fallout games, you'll definitely find something to love here. The full patch notes for the new upgrade to Metro Redux can be found here. It's certainly a good time to get caught up on the Metro series, as the next entry, Metro 2039, will officially release February 2027. We recently went hands-on with this latest installment and found a lot to love. "Playing this on a high-end rig was a blast, as Metro 2039 is one of the most detailed first-person shooters I've seen to date," we wrote. "Tons of objects are strewn about the wasteland to help add to the theme, but they feel purposefully placed. The sound design is off-the-charts great, and I recommend playing it in a dark room with headphones." If you have a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription and are looking for something new to sink your teeth into before GTA 6 lands, you could do a lot worse than Metro Redux.
