ADVERTISEMENT ADVERTISEMENT In Britain especially, there was a feeling of unrestrained optimism and rebellion, which in turn fuelled a chaotic surge of youthful creativity that intersected with countercultural movements. Tate Britain is celebrating this with more than 100 objects from the era, including the raw art of Tracey Emin, the rock n' roll fashion of Vivienne Westwood, and early films from director Steve McQueen. 'The 90s: Art and Fashion' runs until 14 February 2027 at Tate Britain in London, UK.
