Person taken to hospital after boat capsizes at Manawatū beach

A person is in hospital following an emergency callout to a lower North Island beach.Hato Hone St John said it was notified of a "water incident" at Tangimoana Beach in Manawatū at 8.14am on Monday.A spokesperson said two ambulances, an operations manager, and one rapid response vehicle attended."One patient has been transported to Palmerston North Hospital in a moderate condition."In a statement, police said they were at the scene of the incident which involved a capsized boat."Police were first made aware of the incident at 8.35am."Emergency services are on scene and more information will be provided when available."Fire and Emergency confirmed crews were also on site.
