There is no minimum payout required and no limit on the number of qualifying iPhones a customer can sell during the promotion.Any iPhone can qualify regardless of model or condition, including damaged and non-working devices. Customers receive PayMore’s regular cash offer for devices with resale value, with the promotional gift card added as part of iPhone Days.Get the latest headlines, breaking news and columns.By signing up you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.A welcome email is on its way. Please try againThe campaign arrives during one of the biggest periods of the year for smartphone upgrades, when new product launches often leave consumers deciding what to do with the devices they already own.PayMore’s transaction data also shows more consumers bringing iPhones into the resale market. In August, the company purchased 2,670 iPhones across its U.S. stores, up 55% from the same month last year. The iPhone 13 was the most commonly sold model, and customers received an average of about $169 per device. More than one-third of the iPhones purchased were categorized as broken, reinforcing that even a damaged phone may still have value.“Every new iPhone launch creates the same question for millions of consumers: what is my current phone actually worth, and what should I do with it?” said Stephen R. Preuss Sr., CEO and Co-Founder of PayMore. “A lot of valuable technology ends up sitting unused because people assume an older or damaged phone isn’t worth anything, or they simply don’t want to deal with selling it themselves. iPhone Days is about giving people an easy reason to bring those devices in, understand their value and get paid for what they’re no longer using.”Unlike programs that provide value through monthly bill credits or require customers to meet specific carrier or plan terms, PayMore purchases eligible electronics directly from consumers for cash. Customers can walk into a PayMore store without an appointment, have their device evaluated and receive an offer on the spot, with no requirement to purchase another device or sign up for a wireless plan. That distinction becomes particularly relevant during upgrade season, when consumers may be weighing carrier trade-in offers, selling a device themselves or simply keeping an older phone as a backup. As smartphones and other electronics retain meaningful value well beyond their original purchase, PayMore evaluates devices for reuse first, helping viable technology stay in circulation longer, while responsibly recycling devices that have reached the end of their useful life. Personal data is securely erased before devices are resold or recycled. The iPhone activity comes amid broader growth across PayMore’s electronics resale business. In July alone, PayMore purchased more than 105,000 devices across its U.S. network and paid more than $6.4 million to consumers, more than double the amount paid during the same month last year. Apple was the most-purchased brand across the network.“Consumers are upgrading technology constantly, but the secondary life of those devices is becoming a much bigger part of the conversation,” said Erik Helgesen, President and Co-Founder of PayMore. “The phone someone replaces this fall can become an affordable device for someone else, and even technology that has reached the end of its useful life can be responsibly recycled. As more devices move through the secondary market, we want to make that process easier, safer and more transparent for consumers.”PayMore’s business extends beyond smartphones. Stores buy, sell and trade laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, cameras, smartwatches, computer components and other consumer electronics, while offering professionally tested pre-owned technology to shoppers looking for an alternative to buying new.iPhone Days runs September 8–30, 2026, at participating PayMore locations in the United States and Canada. Customers receive $10 USD in promotional gift card value per qualifying iPhone in the United States and $10 CAD per qualifying iPhone in Canada. Promotional gift cards may be combined with other PayMore gift cards.U.S. customers can learn more at PayMore.com/iPhone-Days, and Canadian customers at PayMore.ca/iPhone-Days.PayMore was founded in 2011 in Massapequa, New York, with a mission to give unwanted electronics a second life by recirculating viable devices back into the marketplace and responsibly recycling technology that has reached the end of its useful life. What started as a single store on Long Island has grown into a leading electronics resale franchise with more than 140 operating locations across the United States and Canada and nearly 500 locations in development.PayMore began franchising in 2020 and provides a safe, convenient way for consumers to buy, sell and trade electronics, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming systems and other consumer technology. In 2025, PayMore was named a Gold Stevie® Award Winner for Company of the Year in Green and Clean Technology, recognizing its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the electronics resale industry.PayMore Stores is a new-age global franchise driving the modern evolution of elevated retail, disrupting the second-hand industry with nimble brick-and-mortar locations propelled by technology, data and e-commerce.View source version on businesswire.com: This advertisement has not loaded yet.Notice for the Postmedia NetworkThis website uses cookies to personalize your content (including ads), and allows us to analyze our traffic.
