See more Daily Mail on Google - save us as a Preferred Source Published: 13:50 EDT, 27 September 2026 | Updated: 13:58 EDT, 27 September 2026 A man has been killed in an alleged hit-and-run in north London, with several others taken to hospital.One man, 31, remains in a life-threatening condition following the fatal collision in Enfield on September 20.Metropolitan Police officers rushed to the incident in Chase Side shortly after 12.40am, where a car struck a pedestrian.London's Ambulance Service, Fire Brigade and Air Ambulance also attended the scene, with several people taken to hospital to have their injuries assessed.The passenger in the vehicle, a 48-year-old man, has since passed away in hospital, with his next-of-kin being supported by specially trained officers.The 31-year-old was also a passenger in the car.The next day, a 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with a specified controlled drug above the prescribed limit.She was then further arrested while being interviewed by police for failing to stop. Members of the public are also being asked to check their CCTV, dash cam footage or doorbells in case anything relating to the collision was captured on camera.Detective Inspector Simon Ager, from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: 'Our thoughts remain with the man's family and loved ones as they come to terms with this devastating loss.'We are working hard to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
