New York Comic Con, the 4-day celebration of pop culture and fandom, returns to the Javits Center in New York City from October 8–11 and ScreenRant will be there to bring you all the breaking news and exciting announcements from the convention. NYCC is commemorating their 20th anniversary with a stacked lineup of panels featuring TV, movies, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and more. The guest list includes Marvel favorite Sebastian Stan, Star Wars stars Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson, Broadway legend Idina Menzel, and the iconic Nicolas Cage. This year, ScreenRant is partnering with Funko to bring fans interviews straight from the convention floor. Superheroes Abound Marvel and DC Kick off the Con There is never a shortage of superhero content when it comes to NYCC. On Thursday at 4:15 PM in Hall 1D: Main Stage, Marvel is kicking things off with a panel about their upcoming TV and animation slate on Disney+. On the DC side of things, Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon/Vibe), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost), and John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen/Jay Garrick/The Flash) reunite to talk about the Arrowverse on Thursday at 2:30 PM in North-Level 5: Empire Stage. Comic fans can check out panels and booths from Marvel (#2153), DC (#4365 & #4657), IDW Publishing (#4551), Dark Horse (#4451), WEBTOON (#2335 & #2435), and more throughout the weekend. Marvel's booth will feature a journey through the world of VisionQuest and a photo op for Avengers: Doomsday, while DC's booth will be decked out to represent a 1950s-inspired Daily Planet newsstand, complete with a free MAD Magazine #1 facsimile featuring classic ads, a look at upcoming titles, and their panel schedule. Plus, artists, writers, inkers, colorists, editors, and more will be located in Artist Alley to meet fans, discuss their creative process, and of course show off their amazing works of art. Horror Takes the Stage Studios bring thrills and chills to NYCC SHOWTIME Just in time for the Halloween season, horror will have a big presence at New York Comic Con. Panel highlights include a screening of the first episode of the upcoming Peacock series Crystal Lake on Thursday at 6:30 PM in North-Level 5: Empire Stage, a look inside season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection on Thursday at 12:30 PM in Hall 1D: Main Stage, a peak at Violent Night 2 and the upcoming movies, TV shows, and video games from Blumhouse on Friday at 5:30 PM in North-Level 5: Empire Stage, and a Season of Screams panel from Shudder on Saturday at 6:30 PM in North-Room 405. For book readers, Christopher Rice, son of Anne Rice, will be celebrating 50 years of Interview with the Vampire with a panel also featuring producer and writer Eric Shaw Quinn and author J.R. Ward on Friday at 2:00 PM in North-Room 408 and authors including Laura R. Samotin, Eric LaRocca, Delilah S. Dawson and Clay McLeod Chapman will be exploring Horromance on Thursday at 3:30 PM in North-Room 406.1. Comic fans can see James Tynion IV talk about Something is Killing the Children and Exquisite Corpses on Friday at 4:00 PM in Room 1B02.
