However, the man took off westbound on Berea Road, according to a police event report. He was then spotted southbound on Carbon Road. The officer lost sight of the suspect. However, an officer found the man hiding in bushes, according to the event report. He was charged with OVI and failing to comply with a police officer, according to the event report. Disorderly conduct: Granger AvenueAn officer at 1:07 a.m. on Aug. 29 stopped to check on a male on Granger Avenue near the railroad tracks. He cited the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and released him.Theft: Franklin BoulevardA Franklin Boulevard resident phoned the police department at 3:25 p.m. on Aug. 28 to report that a man in a gray hoodie and black pants had just stolen an item from his front yard. An officer stopped a suspect matching the description on Hopkins Avenue near Madison Avenue and arrested him on a theft charge, according to a police event report.Disorderly conduct: Detroit AvenuePolice responded at about 11 a.m. on Aug. 28 to the Lakewood Public Library on Detroit regarding a woman who was “very upset and being loud in the library,” according to a police event report. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.OVI: Clifton BoulevardAn officer stopped a car at 2:45 a.m. on Clifton Boulevard near W. 117th Street and arrested the male driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to a police event report.Theft: Chesterland AvenueA Chesterland Avenue resident at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 reported that items were missing from their garage.Disorderly conduct: Clarence AvenueOfficers responded at 2:18 a.m. to a call about a man and a woman arguing on Clarence Avenue near Hazelwood Avenue. Police arrested the man and woman on charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, according to a police event report.OVI: Detroit AvenueAn officer at 2:43 a.m. on Aug. 25 arrested a male driver on Detroit Avenue near Wyandotte Avenue for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
