Over 800 barrels of Guinness worth £205,000 stolen from depot as cops hunt two men

TWO trailers containing more than 800 barrels of Guinness have been stolen, as police issue an appeal for witnesses. At around 7:45pm on Monday, August 31, a lorry was seen entering an industrial estate in Cheshire. The estate faced a combined loss of approximately £205,000. It was estimated the total value of all the items stolen is approximately £205,000. The trailers are described as white Tri-Axle Curtain side trailers with GXO company branding on curtains and rear doors. One of the men driving the truck was described as being white, having a short dark beard and wearing a beanie. The second man was described as “wearing a cap”. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information about the thefts. Detective Sergeant McClatchy said: “It is famously said that “Guinness is good for you”, but that is only the case when it has been bought and paid for.
