OOC: The Playable Anime is going all out for Halloween this year, not only as a reward to its existing players, but to try and get as many of you to give OOC a try as possible. The platform gives you the tools to tell your own story where you’re the star, and it’s making that prospect even more enticing via extras and rewards just in time for spooky season. OOC’s Halloween Event Rewards From October 25 to November 8, 2026, OOC users will receive two types of rewards to help them celebrate Halloween. The first, and most appealing, is seven free story responses, running from October 29 until November 8, in each eligible OOC original. You can try as many eligible stories as you like in OOC, and the seven free responses can be used on any original you haven’t interacted with before the event begins on October 25. Elsewhere during OOC’s Halloween event, users can receive double check-in rewards from October 25-31. Even if you don’t make any purchases, you will still get twice as many daily rewards as usual during the promotion for simply logging in. OOC Makes You The Hero Of Every Story OOC For those of you unfamiliar with OOC who are only hearing about the platform for the first time thanks to its upcoming Halloween event, OOC stands for Out Of Character. That’s because in these stories, you’re not becoming the main character - you are the main character. Not only are you each story’s lead, but you dictate the course of the narrative. In OOC, the stories you experience and the paths you take are unique to you, with your experience based on the decisions you make and the interactions you have with the characters and the worlds in which they reside. When you react with a character in one of the 52,630 stories OOC has to choose from, you’re not just getting a pre-determined reply that thousands of other players are going to get too. They, and the world, react uniquely to what you say and what you do. That, in turn, leads to the manifestation of not just unique character interactions, but a unique story that unfolds based on what you do and say. Those interactions aren’t just left behind once you’re done either. OOC’s Deep Memory means they are there, waiting to be pulled from as the story progresses. When you meet those characters again, what you said to them before will not only matter; it will be the foundation on which your relationships with those characters are built and develops as you venture deeper into your story. The stories available cover a wide array of genres, including sci-fi, isekai, romance, and comedy. However, with the Halloween event and its various rewards potentially being what pulls you into OOC’s almost limitless worlds, perhaps horror and fantasy would be the perfect places to begin your first unique adventure.
