An Odisha man travelling with his six-month-old baby has praised Indian Railways for its swift response after he ran out of diapers mid-journey and turned to RailMadad for help.Odisha man runs out of diapers for baby on train, Railways responds in 10 minutes (Photos: Debiprasad/X) New Delhi,Oct 9, 2026 08:59 ISTA man from Odisha who was travelling with his baby has shared an appreciation post for Indian Railways after receiving prompt assistance during his train journey.In a post on X, Debiprasad said he ran out of small-sized diapers for his six-month-old baby and raised a complaint on RailMadad at 10:07 am on the day of his journey.Within 10 minutes, he received calls from RailMadad and the pantry car manager, and the diapers were arranged at the next stoppage.RailMadad is Indian Railways’ digital platform for passengers to register complaints and seek assistance during their journeys. “From digital grievance redressal to faster, accountable passenger services, this is a very different railway experience. Complaint leads to response leads to solution,” he said in his post on X.He also shared two pictures along with the post. One was a screenshot of his RailMadad complaint, while the other showed an Indian Railways staff member handing over the diapers to him inside the train.In another post, Debiprasad clarified that he had carried diapers for the journey but ran out all of a sudden. He had paid for the diapers himself and did not ask for anything free or misuse any railway resource.Earlier this week, a Bengaluru-based woman also praised Indian Railways after pantry staff agreed to cook oats she had carried for her baby during her train journey.- Ends
