Nothing is launching CMF Buds Neo this week, here is what buyers in India can expect

CMF has confirmed that the Buds Neo will launch in India on 20 August as its most accessible earbuds.CMF is adding a new pair of truly wireless earbuds to its India portfolio this week. The company has confirmed that the CMF Buds Neo will launch in India on August 20 at 12 noon IST. CMF describes the new earbuds as the “most accessible entry point” to its ecosystem, suggesting that they will sit below the existing CMF Buds 2 series.Along with announcing the launch date, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has also offered an early look at the design. The earbuds have been teased in blue, orange and black colour options. Another teaser also shows another variant with a white stem and orange silicone ear tips. The stem appears to have at least two microphone openings, while a circular section seems to serve as the touch-control area. There does not appear to be a physical button on the stem. What could be the price of CMF Buds Neo?While the design is now partly visible, CMF has not revealed the specifications of the Buds Neo. However, its positioning gives us a reasonable idea of where the earbuds will sit in the company’s lineup. The existing CMF Buds 2 starts at Rs 2,699 in India and features 11mm drivers, up to 48dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), Bluetooth 5.4, IP55 protection and Spatial Audio. The CMF Buds 2 Plus costs Rs 3,299 and adds 12mm LCP drivers, LDAC support and up to 50dB ANC.Meanwhile, the launch of the CMF Buds Neo comes at a time when CMF has reduced the number of products it is bringing to market this year. CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis had previously said the company was working on a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro. However, the company later decided not to launch a new phone in 2026, as higher memory costs made it difficult to deliver a meaningful upgrade at a sensible price. Evangelidis also said CMF had several new products and entirely new categories planned for the year. The Buds Neo could be one of those products.- EndsPublished By: Divya BhatiPublished On: Aug 18, 2026 17:01 IST
