‘Not Mere Incidents’: Kosovo Questions Femicide Approach after New Killings

The first victim was 25 years old and pregnant, the second aged 80. The first was shot, the second beaten to death. They both died in late August, both - allegedly - at the hands of their husbands. Kosovo’s acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, took to Facebook to vent her anger and call for "the harshest punishment". "Enough is enough with the killing and violence against women," Haxhiu wrote.
