It was back in 2018 that Nintendo added the ability for Nintendo Switch users to purchase some of their favorite classic games as part of its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. As such, some of the most iconic Game Boy and NES games could be enjoyed on the modern-day handheld, and with nostalgia being the number one driving force behind our purchases, this was a genius addition on Nintendo's part. With hundreds of retro and classic games now available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online service, players can experience the likes of The Legend of Zelda, Tetris, Kirby Super Star, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and many more, and now, the library has welcomed three new additions without a word of warning. Available as part of Nintendo Classics for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, users can now grab the following games: Monster Rancher Advance METAL SLUG ADVANCE Kururin Paradise First released back in 2001, Monster Rancher Advance is a life simulation title from Tecmo, and first launched on the Game Boy Advance. As a spin-off of the Monster Rancher franchise, Advance tasked players with creating, raising, and fighting monsters and launched with "generally favorable reviews" from critics and the audience alike. As for METAL SLUG ADVANCE, it launched in 2004 as a run and gun game from Noise Factory. Part of the Metal Slug franchise, players would take on the role of either Walter Ryan or Tyra Elson as they embark on a regime through a survival training camp. Tasked with surviving on an island with limited supplies and weaponry, the pair must soon battle the enemies who threaten to capture the participating recruits. With "generally favorable" reviews upon launch, this is a classic you do not want to miss out on for a second time. Last, but by no means least, is Kururin Paradise, a 2002 puzzle game from Eighting which launched on the Game Boy Advance. As the second entry in the Kururin series and the sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin, this classic takes on the role of Kururin who must navigate through a series of mazes in order to rescue their family. Oh, and they just so happen to be in a spinning helicopter. Additionally, with a series of sixteen minigames that could be played both in single-player and multiplayer modes, this puzzle game made quite the name for itself back in the early 2000s. These three titles are just a minor selection of over 270 titles available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online Classics library. With a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you can access them all at any time, including these new additions, and immerse yourself in the hits from the Nintendo GameCube (exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2), Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and Virtual Boy systems, as well as Super NES, Game Boy, and NES.
