Nintendo Announces Big ‘Customer Appreciation Sale’ Supported By Tariff Refunds It Doesn’t Want To Pay Back To Players

Nintendo is planning to run a big sale this weekend. The company will be selling games as well as other merch and accessories for up to 30 percent off. And it’s all thanks to “tariff-related refunds” it received from the United States government. Those are the same funds it doesn’t want to give back to customers and has fought in court to keep. On Thursday, Nintendo announced an upcoming “Customer Appreciation Sale” that will kick off on September 13 and end on September 26. The Mario maker says it is one of its “largest promotions ever.” It plans on dropping the price on digital and physical games, various bundles, downloadable content, accessories, amiibos, and Nintendo-themed clothing.
