New Audi Q3 bookings open in India: Prices to be announced next month

Audi has opened bookings for the new Q3 in India, bringing a larger footprint, sharper styling, upgraded technology and a familiar turbo-petrol powertrain to the luxury SUV.Audi has opened bookings for the third-generation Q3 in India, with the luxury SUV now available to reserve for an initial amount of Rs 1 lakh. Customers can place bookings through the Audi India website, the myAudi Connect app or authorised Audi dealerships. The Q3’s prices will be revealed next month.The latest Q3 brings a more contemporary interpretation of Audi’s SUV design language, along with a larger footprint and a technology-heavy cabin. It will also be offered with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.Audi Q3 gets a sharper designThe new Q3 adopts a more upright and substantial appearance, with a broad grille sitting between split LED headlamps. Audi has dropped chrome detailing around the grille and uses a two-dimensional version of its logo. A silver skid plate below the lower air intake adds a contrasting element to the front-end design.Measuring 4,531mm in length, 1,859mm in width and 1,623mm in height, the new Q3 has a 2,681mm wheelbase. This makes it larger than its predecessor across all key dimensions. The side profile features 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and a prominent L-shaped trim element along the window line, while conventional pull-type door handles have been retained. At the back, the Q3 gets split LED tail-lamps connected visually by an illuminated Audi logo. The bumper has a sculpted appearance and incorporates another silver skid plate. Unlike some international versions, the India-spec SUV will not feature the S-Line exterior package.More technology inside the new Q3The cabin gets a significant technology overhaul, centred around a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel has a new squircle-shaped design, while the centre portion of the dashboard features a row of physical controls underneath the air-conditioning vents. Audi has also reworked the centre console. It houses the wireless charging pad, start/stop button, media controller and cup holders, while the traditional gear selector has been moved to a stalk behind the steering wheel.Equipment on offer includes a Sonos audio system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera. The SUV offers 488 litres of boot space.Audi Q3 engine and performancePowering the new Q3 in India is expected to be the familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 204hp and 320Nm.
