Never mind Israel, what will you do about the hordes of illegal settlers in THE UK Mr Miliband?

YOU would be hard pushed to find anyone in Britain who is more wrong about more things more often than Ed Miliband. For the past two years he has been busy being wrong about climate change and Net Zero, insisting on impoverishing our nation to appease the weather gods and his own eco-hysteria. To that end, he chose as his first major foreign policy announcement to impose sanctions on Israel, one of Britain’s staunchest allies. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! According to the Foreign Secretary, the biggest moral issue in the world that Britain must confront is not the myriad human rights atrocities taking place across the world in China, Sudan, Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan or Somalia, where thousands of innocent civilians are being slaughtered, systematically starved, tortured and even forcibly sterilised. No, apparently the No1 ethical concern for HM Government is the violence committed by a small number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Mr Miliband accused the Israeli government of “turning a blind eye” to the violence and carrying out “ethnic cleansing”, which is the deliberate policy of forcing or intimidating an ethnic or religious civilian population out of their homeland and then replacing that population with new settlers. What a shame Mr Miliband and, indeed, the Prime Minister who appointed him, don’t share those exact same concerns about the invaders and settler violence in our own country. Back here in Britain, thousands of miles from the Middle East, our own Government is busy turning a blind eye to the threat to British people and our way of life posed by the tens of thousands of illegal migrants walking Britain’s streets. It no longer matters whether you live in an inner city, in bustling Portsmouth on the south coast or in the leafy village of Piddington in rural Oxfordshire, this menace is coming to everyone’s door soon. Most read in The Sun And while the Government wants to turn a blind eye to this threat, the people of Britain have made it abundantly clear that they are not willing to take that risk any more. This weekend we saw hundreds of protesters in Portsmouth — some organised and balaclava-clad but many of them just concerned locals — block the roads to stop coaches carrying 120 illegal migrants who had arrived from Normandy on a mega-dinghy. Meanwhile, miles away in Piddington, the quiet village’s 350 residents learned that an expected influx of 1,250 illegal boat migrants due to be housed on a nearby Ministry of Defence site could now rise to 3,500 or more young men of fighting age from overseas. That’s ten times the number of local residents. How is what is happening in Piddington not the same as what Ed Miliband claims is happening in the West Bank? Is this not the very arrival of foreign settlers with no claim to the land? Sure, no one is physically forcing villagers to up sticks and sell — not that anyone would want to buy their homes any more given their new nuisance neighbours. But if a group of foreign arrivals numbering ten times the local population suddenly arrives on your doorstep without your agreement, what also can you call it but an invasion and occupation? The symbolic vote won’t have any legal standing but it will send a clear message that they do not consent to this outrage. And the fact it takes place on Tuesday — Battle of Britain Day, marking the 86th anniversary of the air conflict — only adds to its poignancy. Tuesday also happens to be the UN’s International Day of Democracy — yet another reminder that no one in Britain ever voted to open our borders to anyone and everyone who is willing to pay people smugglers for a place on a dinghy to get here. Piddington won’t be the first village to experience what is, to all intents and purposes, forced ethnic cleansing under Andy Burnham’s policy of sharing out illegal migrants across the country. Some 200,000 illegal arrivals since 2018 are still living in the UK, at our expense, and no one expects them to be deported any time ever. They are walking freely on our streets and far too many of them are committing violent crimes. There have been at least seven killings of Brits by illegal arrivals in recent years, including hotel worker Rhiannon Whyte, dog walker Wayne Broadhurst and restaurateur Gurvinder Singh Johal, as well as many, many more cases of sexual assaults and rapes of women and children. Yet Ed Miliband is more concerned with what is happening to Palestinians 2,200 miles away than protecting British people in a village just a short drive up the M40 from Westminster. The truth is that hardly anyone wants these migrants. Not our villages, not our towns, not our cities. We don’t want them in hotels or in hostels, not in army barracks or in bedsits. We don’t want them here at all. And if we do have to have them here, most people would prefer them to be detained behind lock and key so they cannot pose a threat to our safety or to our way of life. Ed Miliband insisted this week that economic sanctions on Israel were vital to preserve the chance of a two-state solution in the Middle East. And once again Mr Wrong About Everything got his facts and his priorities wrong. He — and Andy Burnham — should be worrying more about protecting British people from the hordes of invaders to our own territory. At the rate things are going, we might need a two-state solution here in Britain. I don’t know about you but, in that referendum, I’m voting with Piddington. Comment now
