Netanyahu dismisses 'all this controversy' around Qatar as 'big hoax'

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed “all this controversy around Qatar” as a “big hoax”. In an interview with Israel’s i24NEWS, he said: "I attacked Qatar, and not only that, I bombed it and launched attacks on it during the war, and in turn, it attacked me.” “All this controversy around Qatar is nothing but a big hoax. Qatar is a hostile state, but it has not imposed its conditions or will on us here in any way whatsoever." Netanyahu was apparently referring to former prime minister Naftali Bennett’s repeated assertions that Israel was not doing enough to declare Qatar as an enemy state. Bennett, who is president of the Together party, has promised to classify Qatar among the enemy states of Israel if he returned to power, accusing Doha of "setting up a vast international influence operation aimed at weakening Israel".
