It said the disruption at the affected examination centres was caused by internal power supply issues.“Social media posts are claiming that the NEET PG exam question papers were leaked in Jaipur,” the PIB Fact Check unit said.Rejecting the claim, it stated: “There has been no question paper leak in the NEET PG examination.” The fact-check unit further clarified that technical disruptions were faced at the iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura Centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan, due to internal power supply issues.The affected students will now appear for the examination on September 5. DISRUPTION AT JAIPUR CENTREThe NEET PG 2026 examination was delayed at an examination centre in Sitapura, Jaipur, on Sunday after a power outage disrupted the computer-based test.The examination was scheduled to begin at 9 am and continue until 12 pm. Candidates who reached the centre on time alleged that the examination could not begin as scheduled due to the technical issue.Candidates also alleged that the electricity supply at the centre failed at regular intervals, with some claiming that the disruption occurred every 10 to 15 minutes. The glitches reportedly affected login, access to questions and the ability to continue the examination.The situation escalated after the three-hour examination window ended, when students gathered outside the centre and began protesting.They demanded that their grievances be addressed. Parents accompanying the candidates were also seen distressed, with some visibly emotional as years of preparation appeared to be at risk.NBEMS ANNOUNCES RE-EXAMINATIONThe National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) later announced a re-examination for the affected candidates.The re-examination will be held on September 5 for candidates affected by power-cut issues at test centres 41,682 and 41,683 at iON Digital Zone iDZ, Sitapura.NBEMS said the examination could not be completed due to “internal power supply issues at the centres” and apologised to the affected candidates.With the PIB Fact Check unit now clarifying that there was no question paper leak, the disruption at the Jaipur centres has been attributed to technical issues caused by internal power supply problems.NEET PG 2026 EXAM HELD ON AUGUST 30The NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted on August 30 across the country.The examination was scheduled for 2,73,096 candidates at 1,111 examination centres across 339 cities, covering all 36 states and Union Territories.According to the official notice, a total of 2,65,980 candidates appeared for the examination.
