Actor Nana Patekar died aged 75 at his Goa home early on Thursday after experiencing severe chest pain. Following news of his death, a viral video of the actor performing weighted tricep dips in his seventies has resurfaced on social media, with fans celebrating his remarkable fitness and disciplined lifestyle.Months before his death, a video of the veteran actor went viral when photographer-producer Atul Kasbekar shared a fitness clip on Instagram. The reel showed the screen icon in a white vest, tan shorts, and a traditional gamchha wrapped around his neck, effortlessly executing weighted tricep dips on parallel bars before ending with a warm smile — a display of agility and strength that drew widespread admiration from fans across social media.Kasbekar wrote, "A-Ho Nana Sahebbb!!! You just made me reset my fitness goals (sic)!!!" and also explained that Patekar did 15 dips, but he began recording late and so did not capture them all. He ended the post by calling Patekar a legend.Reacting to the video, actor Javed Jaaferi wrote, "Na Na Naturally (sic)." Actor Shilpa Shetty complemented Patekar by commenting with laughing emojis. Patekar was seen earlier this year in director Vishal Bhardwaj's O'Romeo, featuring actors Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Farida Jalal and Disha Patani in key roles.The actor also made an appearance in the Prime Video film Subedaar, featuring actors Anil Kapoor and Radhika Madan in key roles. According to medical officials, Patekar sent a message to a friend around 2:30 am complaining of chest discomfort and feeling unwell. His friend rushed to his residence around 4:00 am, finding the actor sweating profusely and losing consciousness. An emergency medical team was summoned and began performing CPR at his home after finding him unresponsive.The actor was rushed to Manipal Hospital in Goa at around 4:20 am, where doctors conducted cardiac massage and CPR for nearly 45 minutes; however, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 5:20 am. As he was brought dead, his body was sent to Goa Medical College for a post-mortem examination as part of standard medico-legal procedure to ascertain the exact cause of death.- Ends
