Motorola's gorgeous Signature 27 finally has a release date and a price

Published Nov 5, 2026, 8:00 AM EST I've been covering Android and other mobile technology for close to ten years now, with a specific interest in phone accessories, e-readers, and what makes each individual phone different from another. I delight in looking at the phone market from as many angles as possible, and while my opinions may be odd, at times, they're always from the heart as much as the head. I have a background in the mobile accessories world, which explains my odd enthusiasm for cases and things that clip onto smartphones. I worked for Digital Trends from 2017 to 2025. The Motorola Signature 27, Motorola's upcoming ultra-premium flagship smartphone, finally has a US release date and pricing information. It's no surprise it's expensive, since this was always going to be a very exclusive phone, with only the most high-end specs allowed. However, it might still take your breath away. The Motorola Signature 27 will be available for pre-order from November 19, and the device will be fully available for sale from November 26. As for the price, well, make sure you're sitting down for this: it starts from $1,600. The Motorola Signature 27 throws everything at purchasers All gas, no brakes That price may be a surprise to some. A hefty price of $1,600 is pushing into the range of foldable asking prices, and this is a regular smartphone, after all. However, "regular" is not at all how the Motorola Signature 27 should be described. Motorola has really pushed current specs as far as they'll go, adding the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, along with 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage as standard. It has an enormous 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 90W TurboPower wired charging, and Motorola claims most users will be able to get a day's worth of power from about 12 minutes of charging. While that's going to depend on how much you use your phone, if it's anywhere near as effective as that, it all but eliminates the need to charge a phone overnight. Just pop it on charge while you have your morning shower and coffee, and you're likely to be set for the day. The design is similarly stunning. The Signature 27 may be one of the best looking phones of the year. Credit: Motorola The camera is similarly over-the-top. The rear setup comprises three camera lenses, plus a dedicated "Action Sensor" that helps to capture fast-moving subjects. It's joined by a 50-megapixel main lens, a 200MP periscope telephoto 3x zoom lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Around the front, you'll find a 50MP selfie camera. The display is perhaps the most obvious sign Motorola was throwing everything it could at this phone. Not content to deliver a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo display with a 120Hz refresh rate, it also cranked the peak brightness to a ludicrous 12,000 nits. That's the sort of brightness more common on stadium JumboTrons. There's very little chance any sort of outdoor brightness will be able to overpower this phone's display. The Motorola Signature 27 will be available for pre-order from Motorola.com, Amazon.com, and BestBuy.com on November 19. It will release a week later, on November 27. As mentioned, the price is a sky-high $1,600. If you buy it from Motorola.com, then you'll also get the new Moto Watch Ultra thrown in. Two new accessories are also on the way A new fitness watch and earbuds are "coming soon" We also received news about two new Motorola accessories coming to the US as well. The first, the Moto Buds Ultra 27, are a pair of wireless earbuds with Bose tuning and ANC, and a combined battery life of 45 hours, including the case. They include live AI translations, as well as the ability to ask Motorola Qira for help, and can be interacted with using head gestures. The next is a fitness watch, the Moto Watch Fit 27. This is a squircle-shaped fitness tracker that uses Polar's software to give you an unparalleled look at your fitness levels, and offers great training tips. It has a 12-day battery life, and contains a good mix of health and fitness metrics to keep you healthy and happy. Both will be coming to the US in the coming months, and no price has yet been confirmed.
