For women of all ages, it’s all about reclaiming precious time as it allows them to leave the house a bit earlier (24 per cent) or get more sleep (22 per cent). But it doesn’t always go to plan, and for 43 per cent a tissue acts as their go-to tool for touch ups, when they don’t have their makeup bag. While 16 per cent would even pay extra for a product specifically designed for touch-ups on the move. Niamh Finan, spokesperson for Kleenex, which commissioned the research to mark the launch of Kleenex Beauty Tissues for on-the-go touch-ups ahead of London Fashion Week, as their beauty pit-stop the Glow and Go Taxi traverses the city, said: “Our beauty routines are always changing, adapting around our busy lives. “From makeup fixes between meetings to quick touch-ups before heading out, it’s clear people want simple, reliable options that fit around real life.” The research also found that as autumn routines kick back in after the summer, 36 per cent feel September is a busier month than usual, with 52 per cent of those claiming this makes their beauty routine more hectic. Most read in The Sun The research, carried out via OnePoll, also found hybrid workers touch up their makeup the most, making little tweaks more than once a day when outside the home. While office, on-site workers and fully remote employees refresh their look less than once per day. But 62 per cent admit they feel self-conscious when touching up their make-up in public. Following the findings, Kleenex took to the streets of London with its Glow and Go Taxi – a cab which offers a bookable pit-stop for people to touch up their appearance on the go, with a professional makeup artist on hand to help.
