Al Jazeera reported earlier that a Palestinian man had been killed by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint east of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank. Wafa reports that Raafat Khairy Abu Khalil, 45, died while being detaineed by the Israeli military at the Ennab checkpoint. The Palestine Red Crescent said that its teams received a report of a Palestinian in critical condition at a checkpoint. When they reached the scene, the reported the found Abu Khalil undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation after suffering cardiac arrest. He later died at the scene. The Red Crescent said its teams transported Abu Khalil's body to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm. According to Wafa, Abu Khalil was captain of the Palestinian Military Training Authority in Jericho.
