Monsoon to march over India on Sunday: Heavy rain forecast in these states

Rainfall is likely to remain active across several parts of north and central India on Sunday, September 6, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rain at isolated places across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.The forecast comes as a low-pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh continues to influence weather conditions across the region. The wider forecast indicates fairly widespread rain over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on September 5, while West Uttar Pradesh is expected to see fairly widespread rainfall on September 5 and 6.East Uttar Pradesh is also likely to see fairly widespread rainfall from September 6 to 8, with isolated heavy rain during this period. East Madhya Pradesh is also expected to remain wet.In eastern India, heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Bihar on September 6, while Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to receive heavy rainfall.Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, and the northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are similarly likely to see isolated heavy rain.
