Mon Laferte, Francisca Valenzuela to Headline Latin Grammys’ In The Mix/Los Producers Event

The night will also include Kinky, Juanes, Lila Downs, and more, and will honor Latin producer Sebastian Krys The Latin Recording Academy has announced its bringing together In The Mix from the Circle of Producers and Engineers and Sebastián Krys’ famed Los Producers gala to create a super-evening that will honor Latin music professionals. The night will include performances and appearances from a slew of stars, including Mon Laferte, Francisca Valenzuela, Fonseca, Yami Safdie, Lila Downs, Arath Herce, Kinky, Juanes, and more. The event, which is sponsored by BMI, will take place Nov. 11 in Las Vegas as part of the official Latin Grammys week schedule. It will be produced by Krys, the longtime Latin producer who has made the Los Producers gala a staple several years in a row. Like Los Producers has done in the past, the official event will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, which is dedicated to advancing research toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Krys was diagnosed with the condition in 2019 and has made it his mission to spread awareness. “Los Producers has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It’s one of those initiatives where everyone truly wins. The Michael J. Fox Foundation has funded more than $3 billion to advance Parkinson’s research and the fight against the disease, and this is our way of making a small contribution from our corner of the world,” Krys said in a statement. During the event, Krys will receive a special honor his contributions to Latin music. He’s worked with artists such as Shakira, Elvis Costello, Juanes, Ricky Martin, La Santa Cecilia, working as both a producer and engineer.
