The reservoir received 0.4 mm of rainfall.Water was not released for delta irrigation on the customary date of June 12 this year owing to the low storage level and delayed monsoon. It was subsequently released on September 1 for 45 days, until October 15. With the water level declining and inflow remaining low, officials said the release for delta irrigation might not be extended beyond the scheduled date. Published - October 10, 2026 03:31 pm IST
