Mbappe's 'insane' hattrick extends perfect start for Mourinho's Real Madrid

The France forward's treble helped Jose Mourinho's side recover from a shaky opening half and make it two wins from two in LaLiga.Real Madrid had been jeered by their home supporters before half-time after struggling to impose themselves on the game. Speaking after the match, Mourinho, who returned for his second spell as Madrid manager this summer, praised his players for responding to the pressure.“There’s something I don’t like doing, but sometimes I have to do: I don’t like to talk about individuals, but what Kylian did... it was insane,” Mourinho told Real Madrid TV.“Mbappe has a knack for scoring, for creating chances... when the team is under pressure, he’s able to drop deep and link up with Vini and Jude, gaining ground and creating danger.” The Portuguese manager was equally emphatic when discussing the 27-year-old's ambitions at Madrid, saying he could see the forward was determined to create his own history at the club.“This bloke is incredible. He’s incredible. I can see he’s absolutely raring to make history with Real Madrid,” Mourinho said. Mbappe's display also marked a swift response to his goalless outing in Madrid's opening-day win at Espanyol, while Mourinho's second game in charge at the start of his new era ended with another three points.MBAPPE CHANNELS CR7 WITH HAT-TRICK CELEBRATIONMbappe opened the scoring in the 40th minute after Federico Valverde released him into the box with a superb pass. He cut inside and fired into the top corner, but Luka Sucic restored parity four minutes later.Madrid returned from the interval with a different level of intensity. Mbappe combined with Jude Bellingham before finishing low to put the hosts back in front on the hour, while Bellingham then helped create Vinicius Jr's goal eight minutes later.WATCH THE VIDEO:The hat-trick arrived in the 80th minute when Vinicius slipped Mbappe through, allowing the Frenchman to calmly lift the ball over goalkeeper Alex Remiro.Mbappe then produced a celebration with a familiar Madrid connection. Instead of his customary celebration, he spread his arms and mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo's famous aeroplane gesture, which the Portuguese legend regularly used during his Real Madrid career.MOURINHO ERA OFF TO PERFECT STARTThe result gave Madrid two wins from their opening two league matches after their 2-1 victory away to Espanyol. Mourinho's return to the Bernabeu has therefore begun with maximum points, although the performance against Sociedad showed there is still work to do.Sociedad threatened early, with Takefusa Kubo setting up Mikel Oyarzabal for a chance that Thibaut Courtois saved, while Sergio Gomez later went close. Madrid's defence looked vulnerable and their passing lacked rhythm before Mbappe's opener.Mourinho, however, welcomed the reaction from the Bernabeu crowd and his players.“There's always a sense of justice in the boos and the applause, and the odd boo now and then doesn't do anyone any harm.
