While the homes may not be particularly spacious, he says their price tags have climbed to nearly Rs 80 lakh.According to Shandilya, someone planning to buy such an apartment would first need to arrange a sizeable down payment, which he estimates to be between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. The remaining amount would typically be financed through a home loan. He explains that securing a loan of around Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh would likely require a monthly salary in the range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh. On top of that, buyers should be prepared to spend around Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000 every month on EMIs, depending on the lender and repayment period.
