From the stripped-back look of Ultimate Thor to the various armors adorned by the MCU Thor, our hammer-wielding friend has a look for every occasion. Now, Thor is back with one of his most regal looks yet, as King Thor is set to make his debut in Season 10 of Marvel Rivals. The free-to-play hero shooter isn't shy about dishing out a huge number of alternate skins for its characters to wear, and the latest season of Marvel Rivals is giving Thor his biggest and best glow-up yet. Yes, even better than Boogie Bolt Thor, if you can believe it. As you've probably heard, the new season has a story focused around Thor villain Gorr the God Butcher, who joined the game as a new melee brawler Duelist. We also got the new God Quarry map and a Loki-focused event, so it's no surprise that Thor is getting a serious upgrade that is a considerable step up from the Pajama Party skins that were released for characters like Jubille and Mantis in recent weeks. The heavily-armored King Thor skin will be added to Marvel Rivals on September 25, giving us a Thor who looks much more like his dad, with a horned helmet and eyepatch to complete his imposing look as ruler of Asgard. King Thor will join the game alongside Mantis’s and Daredevil’s Pajama Party costumes. And, if you were wondering, it's listed as an Epic rarity, meaning it's certainly a very special skin indeed. In Marvel Comics, King Thor is an older ruler-of-Asgard who is depicted as a hardened one-eyed warrior king. The Marvel Rivals version of the character is notably younger than the grey-haired comic book interpretation of the character, but it's still a pretty cool look and a solid reason to jump into Marvel Rivals on September 25. Season 10 is set to run until October 9, and there's plenty more to come to Marvel Rivals before then. Luna Snow and Phoenix are both getting Celestial Messenger skins on October 2, ahead of a mid-season update which will no doubt come with its own set of surprises.
