Man Utd scout ‘Norwegian JJ Gabriel’, 15, days after ‘Kid Messi’ handed in transfer request

Barcelona have also sent spies to watch the youngster in action this season, but the United scout’s presence in Oslo on Sunday suggests they are firmly in the race for his signature. Chelsea sealed a deal to sign Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon last year, loaning him back to the club and waiting a year for him turn 18 and make the move to London. Rajkovic is a tricky winger with two good feet, although he is predominantly left-footed. He tends to play on the right and cuts in with devastating effect, often leaving defenders guessing with body feints and quick changes of direction. The Oslo-born star has played for Norway’s U15 and U16 national teams and is also eligible to represent Serbia, Belgium and Morocco. He has scored two goals in 13 top-flight appearances this year, becoming the second-youngest player to score in the competition behind Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard when he scored against Bodo/Glimt last month. But Rajkovic insists he is in no hurry to leave his current club, having already turned down several offers of training stints at major European clubs.
