Man Utd get double injury boost four days before season opener at Hull but £60m star still missing from training

BENJAMIN SESKO and Matthijs de Ligt were spotted back in full training with Manchester United ahead of the Premier League kick-off. Sesko did not feature in pre-season as he recovered from a shin injury, but United are hopeful he will be in the squad for their season opener at Hull City on Saturday. Sesko missed United’s final three games of last season with a shin injury and his lay-off would likely have been longer had he aggravated it before the 3-2 win against Liverpool on May 3. But, Mason Mount was missing from training after picking up a knock following a foot stamp against Paris Saint-Germain in United’s 1-1 draw in Stockholm. United sources said the injury was precautionary but Mount missed Michael Carrick‘s side’s final friendlies against Leeds and AC Milan. United are far from done in this transfer window with a minimum of two new players the target. It’s no secret the club has been exploring options at left-back with Lewis Hall their preferred option.
