Man dies as two-wheeler rams his vehicle

A 38-year-old bank manager of a public sector bank died after a two-wheeler hit the moped he was riding, in Paramasathu village on Friday.The police said the victim, K. Venketa Pratap, a native of Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), was working at a public sector bank in Ranipet town. He was returning home when B. Karthik, 33, of Ponnai village, lost control of his two-wheeler and hit the moped. In the impact, Pratap sustained injuries, while Karthik was unhurt. Pratap died at the Government Taluk Hospital in Sekkadu village near Katpadi.A case was registered by Ponnai police. Published - September 25, 2026 11:27 pm IST
